Half-Moon Lake can be compared
to any lake in Canada and will always be among the best. To
top it off, in 2001 we have acquired the exclusive rights. This
means that henceforth Half-Moon, known as "The Walleye
Factory", will be accessible only for our clients.
Although Half-Moon Lake is the only lake on the territory for
which you can keep your catch of walleyes, we strongly recommend
that you release those under 12 inches and over 22 inches. As
for the pike, we encourage that you release those over 15 pounds.
In 2001, we plan to complete
the access to 25 smaller lakes situated in the surroundings
of Half-Moon Lake. These lakes will be available as of 2002.
We wish to determine the optimal capacity of each, in order
to manage the territory and have Half-Moon remain what its been
known for over the past 12 years.
We must specify that with
a quota of 3 walleyes and openings of only 4 weeks per season,
Half-Moon has hardly been fished over the past few years. The
quota for 2001 will be of 8 walleyes and the lake will be open
until moose hunting.
